Henk Schwarz who has been fishing at Clonanav for 18 years joined me on the Suir today at Cahir. A remarkable number of trout were rising to black gnats and we did manage to catch a few!

Jimmy Gibson a client from Mayo and I finally got to fish together last week. Jimmy has been buying from my store for the past few years and was keen to try the rivers in this area. Here are some of the results!

Earlier this week I guided long time client Don Godson and his friend Des Feely. Conditions were difficult but due to a strong downstream breeze we did manage to hook a few fish. Conditions are very difficult as the river is low and clear, and fish are very easily spooked!

I had the great pleasure of guiding Hugo Monteros from Mexico (living in Germany) last week. He is a great angler and had some great fishing at Clonanav. Even hooked his first salmon on the Suir!
