Improvers Course 15th May 2010
We held one of our river fishing improvers courses on the 15 of May. It was a huge success with all angler getting fish. The conditions in the morning were difficult, but in the afternoon the sun shine and the hawthorne flies came out.
The course focus was on improving casting skill and learning effective river techniques. The morning session concentrated on learning single haul, double haul, jump rolls and improving fly presentation at our casting ponds.
In the afternoon we moved to the river and demonstrating Dry fly, nymphing, NZ style and streamer fishing. The fish did begin to rise in the afternoon so dry fly worked best. We are holding more of these courses later in the year for more info visit www.flyfishingireland.com
